Homestart Wigtownshire
Many parents feel overwhelmed or exhausted by the stresses and difficulties of everyday life. Sometimes they have no one to give them encouragement and support when they most need it. Whether you need support for yourself, or someone else, Home-Start Wigtownshire is here to help.
There are many reasons why you may need help through home visiting or our family groups such as:
Feeling isolated, maybe with no family nearby and struggling to make friends
Disability/Illness in the family (parent and/or child)
Mental Ill Health/Postnatal Illness
Multiple Births/several children under 5
Help with Budgeting
Family Breakdown
Joining in your Community
Our groups offer inclusive friendship and support for parents who have children up to pre-school age. The groups are led by Project Workers who carefully plan activities and outings for families.
The groups offer quality time through play for parents and children in a stress free environment.
We run family support groups in various locations throughout Wigtownshire.
